Overview and Objectives
Leading edge erosion of wind turbine blades is one of rather critical problems of the wind energy development. It can lead to sufficient reduction of annual energy production for wind turbines. The objective of this Symposium is to discuss ways to predict, control and prevent leading edge erosion of the wind turbine blades, ensuring high reliability of the wind energy generation.
The Symposium is the follow-up of the first International Symposium on Leading Edge Erosion of Wind Turbines, which took place in DTU Risø Campus, Roskilde, February 4-6, 2020.
The symposium will take place online.
The symposium is organized in the framework of DTU projects: Innovation Foundation projects “DURALEDGE: Durable leading edges for high tip speed wind turbine blades” , “EROSION: Wind Turbine Blade Erosion–Reducing the largest uncertainties” and Danida «MAINTAINERGY: Maintenance and Repair Strategies for Wind Energy Development»
Deadline for abstract submission: 30 November 2020
